buffalo tofu poppers

TESTING PHASE


Ingredients

  • 1 block extra firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup chickpea flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce or BBQ sauce if you don't like the heat
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup if you used hot sauce
  • 2 cups bread crumbs

Instructions

Preheat air fryer to 350 (or oven to 450 F)

Break tofu into bite sized pieces

Mix flour and water in bowl and have bread crumbs ready seperately.

Dip each piece of the tofu into the flour water mix and then roll it in the breadcrumbs.  Do this for all pieces.

Put in air fryer for 12 minute or oven for 30 minutes flipping as needed.

Mix maple syrup and hot sauce in a bowl (or put BBQ sauce in a bowl).

Once fully baked add poppers into the bowl and gently toss.

Serve with a vegan dip of your choice.  Ranch or blue cheese dressing are perfect!
