Snickers, raw and vegan
These are amazing! Make the Nougat layer and press into a parchment lined pan. I use a glass brownie pan. Put in the freezer. Make the Caramel layer with everything except the peanuts. Press the caramel layer over the nougat layer. press peanuts into nougat. Cut into bars and put back into freezer. Melt chocolate by adding a few drops of oil into chocolate and melting on a double boiler or microwave in a glass bowl on medium heat for 60 seconds and then 30 seconds at a time mixing in between until it is melted completely. Dip bars into chocolate or spread on top of precut bars and crack once it solidifies. Keep in freezer.
Ingredients
Nougat base:
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup almond flour or coconut flour
2 tBsp maple syrup
3 tBsp coconut oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup oat milk or your favourite milk- I also added 6 stevia packs and 1 tsp of vanilla to sweeten it more
Caramel layer:
12 dates I used medjol dates
3 tBsp peanut butter
1/3 cup melted coconut oil
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
3 tBsp peanuts (set aside to top nougat)
Coating:
~1 cup dark chocolate or milk chocolate if you prefer
